In May, a dozen locals rewarded their fitness trainer for pumping health into their lifestyle by nominating Ferraiolo Fitness, LLC, a home-based business in the historic district, with the 2009 Leesburg Best Home-based Business Appreciation Award. The honor recognizes the owner of an independent business, operated from a residence located within Leesburg, who serves as a small business advocate within the business community. In January 2007, owner Ralph Ferraiolo, and wife Leann Micheals, opened the doors to their newly erected, state-of-the-art fitness facility behind their home on Edwards Ferry Road, designed to closely preserve the downtown look, feel and beautiful backdrop of their hometown.
In a little more than two years, 100-plus faithful followers from nearby counties and new clientele have flooded the small business, opting out of the larger meat-market gyms for the comfort and personal attention Ferraiolo Fitness provides. CEOs, doctors, athletes, lawyers, bankers and even whole families, submitted testimonies to the Town of Leesburg, citing their renewed sense of energy, weight loss and overall lifestyle improvements as a result of Ralph’s customized workout regimens. More than 350 local business leaders attended the Town of Leesburg’s 8th Annual Business Appreciation Awards ceremony, with awards presented by Leesburg Mayor Kristin Umstattd.
While the creative Ferraiolo Fitness business model affords Ralph and Leann a very profitable & enviable lifestyle, the biggest winners are their clients who achieve levels of fitness and health they never thought possible. In this newly emerging “green age,” Ferraiolo Fitness provides the Leesburg community an amazing step in that direction, in addition to a blue skies ahead, fit at any age philosophy. The blue and green logo says it all!
